All flowers made using the quilling technique are distinguished by beauty and great resemblance to real. However, roses are in greatest demand. Roses created from strips of paper are a real work of art. The creation of a paper rose is somewhat different from the traditional quilling technique, and requires a certain dexterity of the hands and quite a lot of time.
To create a chic rose, you will need a paper tape about 10 mm wide. If the tape is wider that the flower will be more voluminous, but it will protrude too much above the surface to which it is attached, and this does not always look beautiful. In addition, for work you will need a special, not sharp tool like a rod, the awl here will not work. A special tool will make the open core of the flower.
Put a strip of paper on the rod and make several revolutions around — you will get a core of the rose. Next, you need to bend the strip at right angle back and continue to turn the paper tape, and after each turn you need to bend the tape at right angles back. It is necessary to hold the center of the flower closer to the rod. To make the flower voluminous and wide, you need to try to perform each round from the rod further.
Remove the finished flower from the tool and loosen a little. Press the core slightly — it should be lower than lush petals. It is necessary to fix the middle of the flower and the end of the paper with a drop of glue. The flower is ready! Perhaps in order for the rose to turn out to be perfect, you will have to practice a little.
The finished rose can be supplemented with various elements of quilling — a drop, quotes, a “free coil”, connecting everything together in a delightful composition: rose, leaves and bud.
The resulting pattern will be a beautiful decoration for a postcard or box. To do this, you need a strip of pink paper 6 cm wide and 15 cm long, as well as a short green paper tape. All components, with the exception of the rose, are simple and are among the basic elements. The leaves are performed in the form of «eyes», and the bud is in the form of a drop.
You can also make flowers in the quilling technique by gluing separate elements of paper.
